Exploring the reclamation of language and nationhood, a young woman journeys through a landscape haunted by trauma. As the moon marks the passage of time, she encounters dark traces of Canada’s colonial past. Despite the horrors, she witnesses the power of land, culture and language – and the spirit of the buffalo – to heal and lead us on a new path forward.
