  • Can I use my status card when purchasing tickets & passes?
  • :Yes. For holders of Certificate of Indian Status, please go to TIFF Bell Lightbox in person and present your Status Card when you purchase tickets.

  • Do you have a group discount?
  • : There is a Friends + Family Package for $30:
    *6 tickets for the price of 5
    *Can be used for the same screening, or different screenings.

  • Are there discounts for Seniors/Students/Low Income?
  • + Opening Night Gala (including Opening Night Party) - $9
    + Opening Night Party Only - $6
    + The Beat - $10

  • Can I purchase tickets to events only?
  • : You can purchase events tickets to the Opening Night Party, Closing Gala, and the Beat.

  • What is your exchange and refund policy?
  • : All sales are final; Refunds or cancellations are not permitted. Tickets are only valid for the event for which they are issued and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

  • Will there be additional admission fees for support persons?
  • : No, there are no additional admission fees for support persons.

  • If a screening goes on "rush" what does that mean?
  • : If you did not purchase or redeem your passes for tickets for a screening in advance and there are no tickets at box office, then we say that the film has gone "on rush". We direct guests to line up at the "rush line" near the box office, because you could still try to get into the screening after the house opens. Not everyone who has purchased or redeemeded tickets shows up for the screening. 15 minutes before the film begins, the house staff checks the remaining seats and sells them to the rush line.

  • What is the likelihood of getting a ticket if the screening goes on rush?
  • : In past years, 95% of guests in the rush line have been able to purchase a ticket to the screening!

    Venue

  • Are seats reserved for ticket/pass holders?
  • : There are no reserved seating and tickets & passes does not guarantee a seat. Please ensure that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your screening.

  • What if I’m late for a screening?
  • : Ticket holders must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the screenings to ensure seating. We cannot guarantee a seat after this time even if you have purchased a ticket.

  • What if I missed a screening?
  • : Unfortunately, if you missed your screening, we cannot refund or exchange your ticket.

  • How many seats are there in the theatres?

  • Can I take pictures or videos?
  • : Please feel free to take pictures and videos outside the theatre. Pictures and videos cannot be taken during the screening. It is illegal to make a copy of a film or part of a film without the permission of the copyright owner.

  • Are wheelchairs provided?
  • : Our main screening venue TIFF Bell Lightbox has wheelchairs on site available for you to loan during your visit to the venue. Wheelchairs can be reserved prior to your arrival by contacting the TIFF box office. However, there are not wheelchairs available to loan at our opening night venue Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema.   • Can I reserve accessible seating?
  • : If you require accessible seating and a companion seat, please call TIFF Bell Lightbox box office at 416-599-8433 ext. 1 or come in person and speak with a venue staff member. Accessible seating is also available at Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema. If you need to reserve seating at this venue, contact Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema at 416-637-3123.   • Can I bring my service animal to the theatre?

  • How do I access my Digital Tickets?
  • :For a quick guide on using your phone or other mobile device to get into the theatre, please visit TIFF's guide on how to use mobile tickets.

  • Where are the washroom and are they accessible?
  • + TIFF Bell Lightbox has washrooms on all floors, including the gender neutral washroom on the first floor behind the escalators. All washrooms are accessible by the elevator.
    + Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema has washrooms on both floors. The washroom on the main floor is accessible.

  • Can I bring food/drink/alcohol into the cinema?
  • :You may only bring in purchased food/drinks/alcohol from the concession stands into the theatres.

  • Are there any events or programs you put on outside of the October festival?
  • : imagineNATIVE is active year round with presentations, educational, and professional development activities. These include the annual imagineNATIVE Film + Video Tour, the indigiFLIX Community Screening Series, and co-presentation screenings and workshops with partners all over Canada and around the world.
