Set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian society called the Hive, a fierce, independent Indigenous female has to face the biggest decision of her life when society goes on high alert.

J.L. Whitecrow is a multidisciplinary visual artist, writer and vocalist. She is also an emerging stand-up comedian with Manifest Destiny’s Child, an Indigenous women’s comedy collective based in Toronto. In her free time, she sings and plays synthesizer in a post-punk band in addition to fronting a riot-grrl band.
imagineNATIVE and the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto have a long-standing partnership to provide production support and services to an emerging Indigenous artist to make their first 16mm film. This year marks our twelfth mentorship.
