VAACT

We are a proud member of the Volunteer Award for Arts + Culture in Toronto (VAACT), which recognizes the incredible contribution volunteers make to organizations across the city. The awards ceremony takes place annually on International Volunteer Day, December 5. Please Note, imagineNATIVE requires 3 completed shifts to earn your stamp. What are the perks of volunteering for imagineNATIVE?

Are there online volunteer opportunities?

Currently, we do not offer online volunteer opportunities.

Is there a minimum age requirement to volunteer?

Yes, you must be at least 16 years of age. 

Is there a minimum shift requirement ?

Yes, a two shift minimum is required for regular volunteers, although a three shift minimum is required to acquire a Volunteer Award for Arts and Culture in Toronto (VAACT) stamp.

Can I volunteer with a group?

It is possible to sign up as a group to volunteer, but this is determined on a case by case basis. Please email volunteer@imagineNATIVE.org for this and any other personalized requests.

Do I need to be Indigenous to volunteer?

No. We accept people from all backgrounds and ethnicities. We strive to make our spaces accessible for everyone.
