imagineNATIVE announces Industry Days

Running October 22 - 26, 2019, imagineNATIVE Industry Days presents over 30 events -- panels, workshops, networking, and social activities --- specifically focused on advancing the careers, artistry, and networks of Indigenous screen content creators. This year marks the largest Industry Days program in imagineNATIVE’s history.

With support from Institute lead partner, Netflix, Industry Days panels and industry receptions will take place in the new imagineNATIVE Industry Centre at the Artscape Sandbox, with additional events at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

imagineNATIVE will once again present A Wall Is A Screen, part walking tour, part film screening.

Our music showcase The Beat, co-presented by Revolutions Per Minute (RPM), returns Friday, October 25 at the Horseshoe Tavern with live performances and the $10,000 iN Bullseye Prize award presentation, in partnership with Slaight Music.

The 20th Anniversary festivities culminate with imagineNATIVE’s 20th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, October 26.

We've just announced visual arts programming for our 2019 Festival, including Lisa Reihana’s in Pursuit of Venus [infected], installations and our annual Art Crawl.

iN20 will feature works by Lisa Reihana, Ludovic Boney, Cheryl L’Hirondelle, Rachael Rakena,Hannah Claus, Tsēmā Igharas and more at Onsite Gallery, Trinity Square Video, A Space Gallery, Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre and YYZ Artists’ Outlet.

iNDigital Space at imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival

Running throughout the 20th imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, October 23-27, 2019 we are excited to announce iNDigital Space, a large-scale presentation of indigenous-made digital works and games. Located in a newly curated space on the main floor of the TIFF Bell Lightbox, this year’s iNDigital Space will be designed by the Indigenous arts collective Article 11 multi award-winning set designer Andy Moro.
