Social Media Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Coordinator to oversee our social media channels for the 20th annual imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. The Social Media Coordinator is a key member of the communications/marketing team and takes direction from imagineNATIVE’s senior staff and Communications Manager. This position is part-time from the start date until October 4, 2019, and then full-time leading up to and following the Festival; the contract terminates on November 1, 2019. This is an in-office position based in imagineNATIVE’s office in downtown Toronto. 

Our ideal candidate is an individual with personal and professional knowledge and awareness of Indigenous communities (artistic, cultural, social). This person is a collaborative, highly creative, and data-driven strategic thinker, with meticulous attention to detail and who thrives in fast-paced creative environments and public spaces. We are looking for a storyteller with content-development and some video editing experience; an excellent communicator and strong writer; a steward of our brand and voice, who can effectively engage in an authentic dialogue with our growing social and online communities; and a trend spotter who is passionate about all things social, and has their finger on the pulse of new social features, tools, and trends across existing and new channels. 

You should: love crafting the perfect message through social media and online marketing; are a multi-tasking self-starter who’s passionate about building community engagement; have a keen eye for striking visuals.

Accessibility Coordinator

The Accessibility Coordinator is a part of imagineNATIVE’s Operations Department. Working with imagineNATIVE team members, the Accessibility Coordinator implements various Festival initiatives specific to Deaf and disabled communities, including targeted outreach, captioning, and guest/visitor relations. The Accessibility Coordinator will also help guide imagineNATIVE senior staff to ensure compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements and contribute to developing, implementing, and maintaining accessibility standards for our 20th Festival. 

This position is part-time from September 2, 2019 until October 18, 2019, and then full-time from October 21, 2019 to November 1, 2019; the contract terminates on November 1, 2019. This is an in-office position based in imagineNATIVE’s office in downtown Toronto, with additional work on-site at imagineNATIVE’s Festival venues.
