Intern with APTN’s Digital Drum at the 12th imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival (October 19-23) in downtown Toronto. Launching in October 2011, Digital Drum is a new live and online connective space for Aboriginal Youth to express identity and creativity!

From October 10-23, 2011, the Intern will work with the Digital Drum Producer to prepare and then be on the ground from October 19-23 to create behind the scenes footage of imagineNATIVE. Through streeters, to music, to background on the festival’s special events and films, the selected applicant will provide their distinctive perspective of the largest Indigenous media arts festival in the world.

The selected candidate will be provided with:

• Use of camera and laptop for editing for the duration of internship;
• One All-Access pass to imagineNATIVE;
• A basic per-diem to offset costs of local travel, food, and incidentals.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be 18-35;
• Open to Indigenous candidates only (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or from another global Indigenous nation);
• Candidates must demonstrate a basic interest and experience in blogging and using social media;
• This opportunity is open to individuals who live in the Greater Toronto Area, or who remain in Toronto from October 18-23. Subsidy will not be provided for hotel nor travel expenses outside of Toronto.

• One (1) .jpg image of yourself (not mandatory);
