Urban Rez Productions Presents: Storytellers in Motion all new episodes in 2009

Vancouver. November 2008

Are you interested in the art of storytelling in the visual medium? Are you curious about aboriginal arts, culture and social issues? Then you might be interested in a dynamic TV series that explores these and other issues through the eyes of indigenous filmmakers.

Urban Rez Productions is proud to announce the completion of principal photography of the third season of Storytellers in Motion, the TV documentary series that features indigenous filmmakers in Canada.

Urban Rez has an exciting line-up this year featuring the current generation of emerging indigenous producers, directors, writers and cinematographers. In addition to their slate of filmmakers this year they take viewers behind the scenes to the imagineNATIVE film and media arts festival to catch a glimpse at the rapidly growing indigenous storytelling industry.

The series is currently running on APTN’s high definition channel 5 days a week, on the SCN educational system in Saskatchewan and is scheduled for broadcast on BRAVO! next year. Recently the Maori Television Network from New Zealand has acquired the series and the storytellers will be seen in Aotearoa.

From Gemini award winners to unsung heroes, films you may have seen and others you might not have, Storytellers in Motion brings you 13 new episodes in the fall of 2009.
