imagineNATIVE Announces the TD Bank Group “Access-for-All” Initiative

imagineNATIVE has the pleasure of announcing a new initiative supported by the TD Bank Group that will reduce ticket prices for the 17th annual imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival (October 19-23, 2016). The TD Bank Group Access-for-All Initiative increases accessibility to imagineNATIVE by reducing the ticket price to the Festival’s film screenings.

Thanks to the TD Bank Group's generous contribution, regular priced individual tickets to all imagineNATIVE film screenings will now cost only $5 (down from $8), making them one of the most affordable movie ticket prices in Toronto! The TD Bank Group Access-for-All Initiative is intended to provide a greater opportunity for a larger number of individuals, including youth and low-income people,  to experience imagineNATIVE’s film and video programming.

imagineNATIVE will also continue to offer FREE tickets to any film screenings scheduled before 6pm to students, elders/seniors, and self-identified low-income/underemployed people.

“imagineNATIVE creates an environment for discourse and authentic cultural exchange, contributing to a greater understanding of Indigenous peoples,” says Ariel Smith, Executive Director. “It is very important that our programming be accessed by everyone regardless of economic status. The TD Bank Group Access-for-All Initiative will help facilitate this by allowing more youth and low-income people the opportunity to experience the Festival first-hand. We are extremely excited about this initiative and are honoured by TD’s generous contribution to make it possible.”

Individual tickets for film screenings will go on sale September 30, 2016 and can be purchased online or through the TIFF Box Office.

imagineNATIVE’s Early Bird Ticket Packages and Delegate Pass are now on sale at a reduced price until Thursday, September 29, 2016.
