imagineNATIVE is excited to co-present for a second year at the Cinefest Sudbury. Entitled Commissions 2007-2011, this screening marks the first occasion that imagineNATIVE has collected a selection of its commissioned film, video and radio works into a single retrospective. Featuring youth-made videos, Genie-award-winning experimental films, and an innovative radio-art audio experience, this program provides an exciting – and enlightening – opportunity to experience some of the diverse creative visions of Indigenous artists in Canada. This program follows upon the success of 2011′s Animated + Aboriginal: Indigenous Storytelling Through Animation.
“We’re very pleased to co-present again with Cinefest this collection of works from imagineNATIVE’s collection,” says Jason Ryle, imagineNATIVE’s Executive Director. “I wish all attendees to the program an enjoyable screening of budding work from Canada’s Indigenous filmmakers.”
